SimPCB Lite

SimPCB Lite is a computer-aided engineering (CAE) software application that delivers comprehensive calculations for transmission line and via parameters. It enables advanced signal integrity analysis to validate high-speed, high-frequency PCB designs and ensure reliable system operation.

Supporting over 100 transmission line and via structures, SimPCB Lite provides high-accuracy and high-performance parameter calculations. It allows you to model various via configurations and account for diverse solder mask and reference layer arrangements, variable mask thicknesses, and precise conductor etching profiles.

With SimPCB Lite, you can:

  • Calculate the primary and secondary transmission line parameters with the option to select specific target metrics.

  • Perform parametric sweeps across designated variables of transmission lines.

  • Calculate the primary and secondary via parameters for a selected model.

  • Perform parametric sweeps across designated variables for via models.

  • Perform frequency-domain analysis of transmission lines to:

    • Compute overall parameters and loss levels.

    • Calculate frequency-dependent S-parameters.

    • Determine frequency-dependent crosstalk.

  • Perform time-domain analysis of transmission lines to:

    • Visualize transmitted waveforms for both analog and digital signals.

    • Compute time-domain S-parameters.

    • Analyze crosstalk for analog and digital signals.

  • Visualize calculation results in comprehensive tabular and graphical formats.

  • Export calculation results in XLSX format.
